York Region Educational Services attended the Cameron Public School Fun Fair with team members Molly, Omar, and Kevin. Together, they introduced children to LEGO and robotics activities while creating a fun and welcoming experience for families in the community.

Molly enjoyed spending time outdoors and seeing children have fun while learning about LEGO and robotics. She described the event as “awesome”, adding that it was great to see children “having fun in the sun” and enjoying the robotics programming.

Omar highlighted the strong interest children showed in LEGO throughout the event. He shared that the Fun Fair was “a great way to see what kids like”, giving the team a better understanding of which LEGO activity (Robotics, Science, or Art) captured their attention and excitement.

Kevin also enjoyed interacting with children and teaching them how to participate in the activities. He described the Fun Fair as “a great experience”, noting that it was rewarding to see participants enjoying themselves and engaging with the wider community.

Overall, the Cameron Public School Fun Fair gave YRES an opportunity to promote hands-on learning, encourage children’s interest in robotics, and connect with local families. Through engaging activities and positive interactions, the team helped create an enjoyable and educational experience for everyone who visited the booth.
